Romain Sato: "For Obradoiro every week is a final, we must be ready for a tough game"
Small forward Romain Sato
has reviewed the news of the Taronja team in a week in which Valencia Basket
faces Rio Natura Monbús Obradoiro (Saturday 29, 19: 00h, Fonteta, Movistar +
dial 68) as provisional leader of the Endesa League. A circumstance which the
Central African player understates: "Being
up is always the goal you have in mind when you are competing. And we are among
the best in the final run, with options to end there. We have only four games
left for the season finale, but we must go game by game, not think beyond. It
is true that we are now leaders, but we do not depend exclusively on ourselves
to end there. The only thing we can do is focus on doing our work, which is to
try to win, and we'll see if that's worth finishing first. It is never easy to
play at the end of the season against teams that are struggling to avoid
relegation. For them, every game they have left is a final and an opportunity
to get away from the bottom. They come here without pressure, with nothing to
lose, and if they manage to win they can practically be saved”.
