The battle vs. Unics Kazan for a spot in the 7DAYS EuroCup Finals starts in La Fonteta

Valencia Basket begins its eighth semifinal series of the 7DAYS EuroCup hosting Unics Kazan in the first game of the best of three series (Tuesday 19, 18:30h, Fonteta, Teledeporte) in a match-up in which the taronja squad wants to remain unbeaten at home (has won his 9 home matches in the tournament) and continue to advance in the goal of #DefensemLaFonteta.

 

Although its good run of results was cut last Saturday in Fuenlabrada, Valencia Basket is showing his most solid version in the European competition, in which has twelve victories. And if the taronja squad manages to get the win tomorrow, will tie the best historical streak in this competition (13 wins in a row of the 2016-17 season). To look for that triumph, all the fourteen players are healthy. And although the taronja coach has unveiled that if there is no news will be Antoine Diot and Sergi Garcia discarded, the call will not be final until the moments before the start of the game.

 

Valencia Basket will face for the ninth time this rival, who had not met again since the EuroCup Finals of 2014 and who dominates in the precedents by 5-3. In a confrontation between the two teams that have won most victories so far in this competition (16-2 for Valencia Basket and 16-3 for Unics Kazan) and two of the best defenses of the tournament, the ability to take advantage of your own virtues and know how to protect yourself from the opponent one’s seems like one of the key elements in the series.
