The last quarter sinks Valencia Basket against Baskonia (84-98)
Valencia Basket fell on their return to La
Fonteta against Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz by 84-98 in a match in which the
taronja team took the initiative throughout the first half and after an even
first quarter, they were able to open some difference in the second act led by
Davies and Inglis, although Howard's offensive appearance sent the game to
half-time with the home side eight ahead. Howard and Marinkovic's triples tied
the game and although the taronja team held on to the game from defense to stay
ahead in the third quarter, the triples from the Baskonia shooters went in and
those from the taronja team did not so that the Vitorian team could went ahead
in the last act with a run of 2-16. Valencia Basket tried with more heart than
head but could not even cut back to disturb the visiting victory.
