Top-level duel to open the Endesa League with the visit of Baskonia

Valencia Basket begins its participation in the Endesa League 2021-22 with a top-level duel against Baskonia (Saturday 18, 8:45 p.m., Fonteta, Movistar Deportes) which is a reissue of the very tough quarter-final series of the Playoff of the last season.

 

After an official premiere in the season in the Endesa Super Cup marked by the sidelined players and a bad start to the game, Joan Peñarroya's men want to improve their image in their first competition home-game in front of a crowd that can occupy up to 40% of the capacity of the Fonteta in a game that is included in the Basketya! season ticket.

 

To try to maintain their good streak against the Vitorian team at home (they have not lost in the Regular Season against the Baskonia team since the 2012-13 season and have only lost in two of the last 16 visits by this rival to the Fonteta), the Taronja squad could recover two of the players that missed the game in Tenerife, point-guard Neno Dimitrijevic and power forward Louis Labeyrie, who have recently joined training with the group.
