Valencia Basket begins the final stretch of the Euroleague facing Real Madrid again

Valencia Basket repeats the clash against Real Madrid eight days after their game in the Copa del Rey that ended with a white victory, but in this case in a game corresponding to round 25 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague (Friday 19, 9:00 p.m., Fonteta, DAZN / Movistar dial 60).

 

The taronja squad opens with this game the last third of the maximum continental competition after the annual break in February with the intention of consolidating its improvement in the continental competition after its victory against CSKA Moscow facing a rival that will become the first Spanish team whom the taronja squad faces a dozen times in European competition and against whom has a positive balance at La Fonteta in the Euroleague (two Valencian victories for one visitor).

 

Coach Jaume Ponsarnau has had a clean week of practices although he has not been able to have all his players. Klemen Prepelic and Louis Labeyrie have lost some practices due to injury although they will be able to compete tomorrow, Fernando San Emeterio started working with the group yesterday and Guillem Vives and Joan Sastre remain sidelined.

 

In the first leg game, the Taronja squad won 77-93 at the Wizink Center in October, although later this season they lost to this rival at the Fonteta in the Endesa League and in the Copa del Rey game. Valencia Basket currently occupies the tenth position of the Euroleague, with 12-12 in the standings.
