Valencia Basket fell
in the 7DAYS EuroCup semifinals against Virtus Segafredo Bologna by 73-83 in a game
in which the taronja team trailed the entire game from a run against in the
first quarter and the accuracy in the zone of the Italians in the first half
gave them an advantage of twelve points at the half-time. Valencia Basket,
spurred on by a Fonteta with the atmosphere of the great European nights,
improved its defense after the half-time and came close to three points in the
last quarter but it lacked accuracy at the key moment and the Italian team
stretched its advantage again to manage it and end up taking the ticket for the
EuroCup Finals. Rivero with 17 points and López-Arostegui with 16 were the best
in the taronja squad.
