Valencia Basket closes its tour on the Bàsquet Girona court

Valencia Basket men's team closes its series of three away-games in a row visiting Bàsquet Girona’s court for the second time in its history in the Endesa League (Sunday 17, 5:00 p.m., Fontajau, Movistar Deportes 2) in a acb round 25 game.

 

The Taronja squad will try to recover their feelings after the tough defeat suffered on Thursday in Turkey and is holding a small concentration in Girona, where they arrived directly on Friday morning after the Euroleague game, to regain energy and look for their best look in the national competition.

 

Álex Mumbrú's men want to maintain the current solid trend in the Endesa League, where they are undefeated after the February break and have won five in its last seven games.

 

Although they won in the only precedent on the court of the current Bàsquet Girona and their records in Fontajau are positive (13-5 counting the clashes against the extinct CB Girona), on Sunday afternoon Valencia Basket face a team that has been strong at home since the coach change and that won at La Fonteta in the first leg.

 

The Taronja coach will have to leave out of this game two of the 14 players he has called, the same as in Thursday's game, one of them necessarily being one of the three American players.

 

Valencia Basket begins this round in sixth position in the acb with a balance of 15-9.
