Valencia Basket closes its tour visiting the court of the undefeated Barça

Valencia Basket closes its three away-games series starting its first three-game week visiting the Barça’s court in a Turkish Airlines Euroleague round 5 game (Wednesday 30, 21:00 hours, Palau Blaugrana, DAZN). After breaking its bad run of results and adding the first as a visitor with a resounding win on the court of San Pablo Burgos, the taronja team will try to win its first game in continental competition in one of the most complicated courts and against an opponent who remain unbeatable in the Euroleague.

 

To try to assault the Palau, Valencia Basket will try to repeat the two good performances made against this opponent both in the Endesa Super Cup and in the Endesa League this season, although both ended up with tight victories of the Blaugrana team. Coach Jaume Ponsarnau recovers for this game the participation of Joan Sastre and Bojan Dubljevic will be available (although he will play with a mask). However, Sam Van Rossom (left knee discomfort) and Mike Tobey (right ankle) are sidelined for this game.

In offense they have a lot of talent, and they play running or with patience. They have a few injuries, like us, and they may have less generators than usual, but they are an incredible team. Our team is still not ripe to handle the pressure. We still have many things to learn. Our main goal must be to put pressure on ourselves to improve, not to win. If we improve first, we will win later."
