Valencia Basket defends the group lead at Fonteta vs. Zenit St.Petersburg

Valencia Basket closes a streak of three consecutive home games with the return of the 7DAYS EuroCup to La Fonteta to host Zenit St.Petersburg for the first time since its transfer to this city (Tuesday 11, 8:30 p.m., Fonteta, Teledeporte). With the objective of the classification to the Top16 already achieved, the taronja squad could ensure with the win one of the first two positions of group C with a round left. And could even mathematically certify the first place in the group if the Taronja team wins their game against the Russians and Partizan NIS Belgrade wins on the LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne’s court.

 

In a game in which Bojan Dubljevic could reach the figure of 350 games with Valencia Basket and in which Guillem Vives could enter into the Top Ten of games played as taronja reaching 241, the proper name is the French point-guard Antoine Diot, who could return to the courts 14 months after he played his last game in the final of the 2017 Endesa SuperCup. In any case, with only Joan Sastre in the injured list (back), the taronja squad must make a discard and will have to leave out of the game one of his 13 available players.
