Valencia Basket opens its eighth Turkish Airlines EuroLeague hosting AS Monaco

Valencia Basket men’s team opens its eighth participation, the fifth in the last seven seasons, in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague hosting one of the great candidates to repeat its presence in the Final Four, AS Monaco (Friday 6, 20:30h, Fonteta, Movistar Deportes 2) in a game in which Álex Mumbrú's men will try to transfer to Fonteta the good feelings of the two away wins achieved in Tenerife and Málaga against one of the most dangerous rivals in the competition.

 

This match could mark the debut in this competition of four of the Taronja entity's signings (Kassius Robertson, Nate Reuvers, Damien Inglis and Boubacar Touré) if they end up entering the final list of twelve players that will be announced in the moments before at the beginning of the game.

 

Coach Álex Mumbrú has thirteen of his professional players available, with the only absences being the long-term injured Martin Hermannsson and Xabi López-Arostegui.

 

There is only one precedent of confrontations between these two teams in La Fonteta, which last season ended with a Taronja victory 89-84 with an exhibition by Chris Jones.
