Valencia Basket returns to Fonteta to face Brose Bamberg at home for the first time

Basketball returns to the Fonteta three weeks after the last home game with the Turkish Airlines Euroleague round 24 game in which Valencia Basket faces Brose Bamberg (Thursday 1, 20:30h, Fonteta, Movistar Deportes 2) in a game in which in case of winning, the taronja squad would chain their fourth home win in a row in the maximum continental competition and set a new record in this competition. This game can be the first official match with Valencia Basket of center Latavious Williams, who didn’t played this season so far with a right knee injury and has been integrated into the practice dynamics since last Sunday.

 

Point guard Guillem Vives could also return in this game, although his presence is more complicated. Vives has returned this week to practice after being two months out with a left ankle injury. Center Tibor Pleiss is questionable with fascitis in the right foot, so only two players remain for sure in the injured list (Sam Van Rossom and Antoine Diot).

 

Valencia Basket will try to overcome in the classification an opponent which is only one game away (8-15 for the Valencians, 9-14 for the Germans). The taronja squad lost in the game of the first leg by a point (83- 82)
