Valencia Basket returns to Fonteta to receive an exultant Baskonia

Valencia Basket takes a break in their November´s exodus to return home and deal with a great game vs. Baskonia (Domingo 13, 18:30h, Fonteta, #0) in a game that pits two of the persecutors of the head group in the Endesa League. Coach Pedro Martínez will feature eleven professional players available (Center Bojan Dubljevic is injured, sprain right ankle) in a match in which Fernando San Emeterio could reach the significant number of 500 Endesa League games. Valencia Basket will face an opponent which has won in the last four games in Valencia. Valencia Basket currently occupies the fifth place in the Endesa League, with a balance of 4-2.

 

P. Martínez: "You have to do things very well to compete with Baskonia"

Valencia Basket coach, Pedro Martínez, said in the previous press conference for the week 8 Endesa League game vs. Baskonia (18:30h, Fonteta, movistarplus, #0) that will be "a very complicated game against a very good team, as everyone knows, and we are going to try to play well, doing things well and with the support of the fans, which I feel key, come out to get it. We need to be strong on defense. If we're not, I don’t think that there are chances to win. And then we need to be in their level of accuracy, they have many players that can score and we should be at that level to compete with them"

 

Bojan Dubljevic, out for the game

Valencia Basket center Bojan Dubljevic had to withdraw from the Endesa League game played on Saturday at Montakit Fuenlabrada´s court when he get injured in the right ankle. After the scanning and the complementary tests that player has been undergone, has been diagnosed that Dubljevic suffers a second degree right ankle sprain. Deemed necessary a period of recovery from at least three weeks, marked by the evolution of this medical condition
