Valencia Basket returns to La Fonteta to host Aris Midea Thessaloniki

Valencia Basket men's team returns home to face Aris Midea Thessaloniki at La Fonteta for the first time in nearly fifteen years (Wednesday, January 22, 20:30h, #Vamos) in a game of the BKT EuroCup round 16 game. The team will have the first opportunity in this game to mathematically secure first place in Group B if they win against the Greeks, achieving the necessary victory.

 

They will do so against a rival who posed significant challenges in the first leg game, with a defensive strategy that limited our team to its lowest-scoring game of the season (63 points) and reduced their shooting efficiency to just 32% in that game played at Nick Gallis Hall, which was the first for the taronja team after the DANA storm.

 

In the two previous visits of the yellow-black team to La Fonteta, both ended in local victories: the 1998-99 Saporta Cup semifinals (70-64) and the 2009-10 EuroCup quarterfinals (85-67).

 

Guard Brancou Badio will be unavailable for this game due to a strong contusion on his right thigh sustained during the match against Unicaja, joining the long-term injured Ethan Happ.
