Valencia Basket secures the third place in Santiago (85-89)
Valencia Basket sealed third position at the end
of the Liga Endesa Regular Season after winning on the Monbus Obradoiro’s court
by 85-89 and will have home court advantage in its quarterfinal series against
Bitci Baskonia, which will start no before Tuesday May 24. The Taronja squad
was ahead on the scoreboard from the start, held on to their advantage despite
the Galician reaction before the half-time and returned to an advantage of up
to 16 points in the third act. Peñarroya's men recovered from the lack of accuracy
in the last act, where they conceded a 19-2 run to end up winning the game
thanks to the final sprint by Dubljevic (22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists
for 33 index) and Van Rossom (16 points and 8 assists).
