Valencia Basket seeks to seal his pass to the Top16 on its first visit to Partizan NIS Belgrade
With only a double practice day at the Fonteta after the last game, Valencia Basket has set this morning for Belgrade to play for the first time on the court of Partizan NIS Belgrade (Wednesday 21, 7:00 p.m., Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, Teledeporte website) in a meeting corresponding to 7DAYS EuroCup round 8. The taronja squad will mathematically certify their pass to the Top16 of this competition with a win, although a Zenit victory in the match that they played an hour before would also qualify Valencia Basket to the second round without even needing to finish their match in the Hala Pionir. The men of Jaume Ponsarnau will try to break their bad dynamics in a country where they have not won since 2009 on the court of the fourth Serbian team we have faced in European competition.
Valencia Basket coach will have again the absences of Antoine Diot and Joan Sastre, who have not flown with the team this morning. Captain Rafa Martínez has been part of the call and he continues to raise his counter of games played in this competition to expand his leadership in front of this classification. Valencia Basket currently occupies the first position of Group C of the 7DAYS EuroCup, tying with the LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne with a balance of 5-2, although ahead of the French having the particular basket-average won.
