Valencia Basket tests its momentum against the powerful Fenerbahçe Beko Istanbul

Valencia Basket men's team will face its third game in a row at Fonteta to face Fenerbahçe Beko Istanbul (Friday 13, 8:30 p.m., Fonteta, Movistar Plus+) in a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague round 2 game in which Álex Mumbrú's men will seek to extend their good shape (which has allowed them to chain four wins) against another of the teams that started the tournament winning on the opening round.

 

In a game in which Víctor Claver can become the seventh player to reach a centenary figure in European competitions with Valencia Basket, the Taronja coach will maintain the same three absences from the victory against Monbus Obradoiro, with Jared Harper (right shoulder) sidelined along with the long-term injured Martin Hermannsson and Xabi López-Arostegui.

 

The precedents in La Fonteta are slightly favorable to Valencia Basket by 3-2, although equality is the usual trend in recent clashes between these two teams. The two last season games were resolved by a difference of one basket and in the last six games between Valencia Basket and Fenerbahçe played in either of the two courts, half of them have been resolved by two points (including the last precedent decided with a tip on the final buzzer) and only one for a difference greater than ten points.

 

Valencia Basket begins this second round in fifth position in the Euroleague with a 1-0.
