Valencia Basket visits the court of the leader Lenovo Tenerife
Valencia Basket will have less than 48 hours to recover physically and mentally from the resounding defeat suffered on the Virtus Segafredo Bologna’s court to face the second demanding challenge this week, visiting the court of a Lenovo Tenerife that is the current leader of the acb (Saturday 19, 8:45 p.m., Santiago Martín, Movistar Deportes 2) in a Liga Endesa round 8 game.
After a bad game on the offensive side, the Taronja team will need to recover their best version in the shooting, which has led them to be the second team that scores most three-pointers in the competition, to attack what is the best defense so far in the competition (only 63.6 points received in their home games for the yellow and black team).
Although the historical precedents are favorable to the Taronja team by 9-2, the truth is that the Valencian team has only been able to get the win of Santiago Martín in one of their last three visits to this court.
Coach Álex Mumbrú will be watching until the last moment of the evolution of captain Bojan Dubljevic, who missed the game in Bologna due to gastroenteritis, which has finally been maintained with the expedition that has traveled to Tenerife and will be questionable until the previous moments at the start of the game.
Point guard Sam Van Rossom and power forward Jasiel Rivero, who already had minutes in Thursday's game, could return to the acb, although to put the Cuban in the roster will be necessary to take out one of the other two non-EU players. Millán Jiménez (left ankle) and the long-term injured Martin Hermannsson will still sidelined.
Valencia Basket begins this round located in the 9th position with a balance of 4-3.
