Valencia Basket wants to defend the Fonteta in the visit of the undefeated leader Real Madrid

Valencia Basket returns home to close a series of five games in eleven days to face Real Madrid (Sunday 1, 6:30 pm, Fonteta, #Vamos) in a game corresponding to the Endesa League round 9.

 

The Taronja team, which two wins in a row in national competition, will try to become strong in its fiefdom to break the bad dynamics against this rival: it has not beaten it at the Fonteta in a Endesa League Regular Season game since 2013 and has lost their last ten clashes against the white team in national competition.

 

To try to turn this situation around, Jaume Ponsarnau's men will not be able to count on the support of their fans, since the game will be played without an audience due to the restrictions imposed by the CSD that prevent the Endesa League games have fans in the stands.

 

In an afternoon in which Alberto Abalde will return to La Fonteta for the first time as a visitor after his three years as a taronja, Belgian point guard Sam Van Rossom can become the seventh player to reach the figure of 200 games in the Endesa League with Valencia Basket.  

 

Guard Joan Sastre remains sidelined, forward Fernando San Emeterio missed the game in Moscow due to some discomfort in his left leg and it is doubtful for the game, while power forward Louis Labeyrie is deactivated, but still can be activated for this game in the hours prior to the clash. Valencia Basket begins this ninth round in eighth position in the Endesa League with a balance of 4-3.
