Valencia Basket will retire Sam Van Rossom’s number 9 jersey after the game vs. Dreamland Gran Canaria

Valencia Basket will retire Sam Van Rossom’s number 9 jersey and rename Court 5 at L’Alqueria del Basket in honor of the Belgian point guard during a double event taking place on Saturday, May 10, before and after the Round 31 Endesa League game against Dreamland Gran Canaria, which tips off at 8:45 p.m.

Prior to the game, at 7:15 p.m., Sam will unveil his name on Court 5 at L’Alqueria del Basket, which will be renamed in his honor during a ceremony open to all fans who wish to join him for this special moment. Supporters who don’t want to miss this emotional event will have free access to the upper level of L’Alqueria del Basket, which can be reached via the ramp, allowing them to witness the ceremony from the stands.

Immediately after the conclusion of the game against the Canarian team, fans in attendance will be able to enjoy an event that will culminate with Sam Van Rossom’s number 9 jersey rising to the rafters of La Fonteta. It will become the fourth jersey number to be retired in the club’s history, joining #15 (Víctor Luengo), #11 (Nacho Rodilla) and #17 (Rafa Martínez).
