The FIBA AfroBasket Angola 2025 will bring together the best national teams from across the African continent starting tomorrow, Tuesday, and running through Sunday, August 24, as they compete for the continental crown. Valencia Basket will have double representation at the tournament, with Brancou Badio playing for Senegal and Matt Costello representing Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast).

Shooting guard Brancou Badio will take part in the tournament’s opening game, as Senegal faces Uganda on Tuesday, August 12 at 13:00 in the game that kicks off the competition. The Lions, bronze medalists in the last two editions, are placed in Group D, based in Luanda. In the group stage, they will also face Egypt (Thursday 14, 18:30) and Mali (Saturday 16, 15:30).

Taronja center Matt Costello has been officially selected as one of the twelve players representing Côte d'Ivoire and will begin his campaign on Wednesday, August 13 at 17:00 against Rwanda. In the group stage, they will also take on Cape Verde (Friday 15, 20:00) and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Sunday 17, 20:00).

The second stage of the competition will take place in Luanda, where on August 18 and 19, the second and third-placed teams from each group will face off in crossover matches to fight for a spot in the quarterfinals. The top team from each of the four groups will automatically advance to the quarterfinals. The quarterfinals will be played on August 20 and 21, the semifinals on Saturday, August 23, and the medal games — including the final — will take place on Sunday, August 24.
