Full party at the Roig Arena debut against Virtus Bologna (103-94)
J2 EuroLeague
After a basketball-inspired Roig Arena stage show filled with excitement, modernity, nostalgia, and excitement, Valencia Basket debuted their new home with a collective victory in a game they dominated from the middle of the first quarter against an opponent who recovered from the first two blows dealt by the orange team but could not keep up with their pace in the final quarter. Having overcome their initial nerves, they took the lead when they found success with their outside shots in the first quarter and opened a small gap with a 12-2 run fueled by points from Moore, although the Italian team increased the intensity to reduce Valencia's lead to three at halftime. The second half began with Thompson activating a home run with eleven points, but Virtus showed a toughness and defensive intensity to push back despite De Larrea's accuracy and enter the final act with the score close. The Valladolid point guard himself found support from Kameron Taylor at the start of the final quarter to once again stretch Valencia's lead, and the defense in the following actions sealed the first victory at the Roig Arena.
