La Fonteta as an ally in the semifinals game 1 against La Laguna Tenerife
Liga Endesa Playoffs

Miguel Ángel Polo
Valencia Basket men's team will benefit from the support of their home crowd after securing second place in the Regular Season, as we open at home our Endesa League semifinal series against La Laguna Tenerife (Tuesday 10, 9:15 PM, Fonteta, Vamos/Movistar+ Deportes). This is the first game in what promises to be a tough best-of-five series featuring the two most efficient offenses in the Endesa League.
This marks the first time these two teams meet in the acb Playoffs, and it's the tenth semifinal appearance for the "taronja" team—only the third time they have home-court advantage. The precedents against the black and yellow squad at Fonteta are favorable, both historically and in the current season, with Valencia Basket winning both Regular-Season matchups. However, they remain very aware of Tenerife's composure and ability to respond, having recently been pushed to a tight finish in the Santiago Martín arena despite a strong advantage after three excellent quarters.
Members of the All-Endesa League First Team, Jean Montero and Marcelinho Huertas, will face off after record-breaking performances in the quarterfinals, in a clash filled with compelling individual and team battles between two squads with contrasting tempos and strategies. With Stefan Jovic and Amida Brimah rejoining team practices, the only confirmed absence is long-term injured player Ethan Happ.
