Hungary has secured its place in the second round of qualification for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 as second of Group E in the European Pre-qualifiers, even after losing in Skopje against North Macedonia by 82-75 in a game where taronja forward Nate Reuvers was not called up due to a minor left ankle injury suffered in the third game of this pre-qualifying tournament.
Valencia Basket big man has been one of the standout players for the Hungarian team during this tournament, averaging 15.3 points on 60% shooting from two-point range and 44.4% from three-point range, along with 6.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists for a 15.3 efficiency rating in just under 25 minutes on the court.
