Seventh EuroLeague win secured with victory in Milan (73–84)

Valencia Basket matched its best-ever EuroLeague start by securing its seventh win in ten games, defeating Armani Olimpia Milan 73–84. Although the team struggled significantly to score—save for the opening five minutes—and trailed heading into the final quarter, a late surge allowed them to dominate the last period 14–33 and clinch the victory.

Statements by Xavi Albert

“We clearly had a great start; we controlled the tempo, especially in the first quarter. We felt really good about how the game was going, but then they changed things up—they switched their defensive approach, utilizing players capable of executing that shift. The second and third quarters belonged to them, but in the final quarter, we managed to create opportunities—first to tie the game, and then… the character shown by our players was truly impressive. Securing 17 offensive rebounds is highly notable, and it’s crucial to be able to win games like this by finding alternative solutions—relying on rebounds and transition play rather than free throws (we only had 4). I’m very impressed by the group’s character in finding a way to pull it off.”
