Valencia Basket closes out its first season road trip at San Pablo Burgos

Valencia Basket men’s team wraps up a stretch of four consecutive away games within a ten-day period by visiting Recoletas Salud San Pablo Burgos (Sunday 8, 12:30 pm, Coliseum Burgos, DAZN / Movistar+ / Orange / VodafoneTV) in a game corresponding to Round 7 of the Liga Endesa.

The taronja side will look to finish its first road trip of the season on a positive note and keep its strong domestic form alive on a court that, while historically favorable, has proved increasingly challenging in recent visits. Valencia Basket has had to battle hard to secure victory in each of its last three trips to Burgos, winning by no more than five points on any of those occasions.

To maintain this positive momentum, Valencia Basket will need to sustain its offensive efficiency against one of the league’s toughest defensive teams, a side that excels at reducing opponents’ shooting percentages from both the field and three-point range.

The game will carry special emotional significance for Gonzalo Corbalán, who will return for the first time as an opposing player to the court of the club that brought him to European basketball in 2021. Last season, he made his Liga Endesa debut with Burgos and went on to earn a place in the league’s All-Second Team.

Valencia Basket continues to be without the injured Nate Reuvers (left foot) and Nikola Mirotic (left adductor), while Mo Gueye remains doubtful after missing recent games with discomfort in his right foot. In any case, one of the team’s non-homegrown players will not be eligible for selection for this game, and shooting guard Lucas Marí will be included in the roster.

Valencia Basket currently sits second in the Liga Endesa standings with a 4-2 record.
