Valencia Basket counts on the strength of Roig Arena for the acb Finals game 2 vs. Barça

Playoff Liga Endesa

Valencia Basket men’s team will look to bounce back quickly from their one-point overtime defeat in the opening game of the ACB Finals against Barça, relying on the support of their home crowd as they aim to level the series in Game 2 (Saturday 20, 8:00 p.m., Roig Arena; DAZN, Movistar+, Orange and Vodafone TV) before the championship moves to Barcelona.

The Roig Arena is expected to host one of its largest crowds of the season for this second Finals clash, with the taronja side hoping to make home-court advantage count against an opponent they have beaten in only two of the eleven previous ACB playoff games played in Valencia.

Recent meetings between the two teams have been remarkably close, both this season and in their latest encounters in Valencia. The matchup features the two most efficient offenses in the competition, a fact they underlined with an outstanding offensive display in Game 1 of the Finals.

Valencia Basket will need to maintain the strengths shown in the opening game—efficient two-point shooting, rebounding control, and limiting turnovers—while also finding a way to contain a Barça offense that set several records in Thursday’s contest.

The taronja squad will continue to be without injured players Xabi López-Arostegui and Nate Reuvers. Meanwhile, Josep Puerto, who has already returned to practice with his teammates, has yet to be included in the game-day roster after spending just under six weeks on the sidelines.
