Valencia Basket hosts Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv for the first time in the EuroLeague 

Valencia Basket men’s team will face Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv for the first time ever in Europe’s top competition (Wednesday 15th, 8:30 p.m., Roig Arena, #Vamos) in a Round 4 EuroLeague game that will be played behind closed doors due to existing risks and recommendations from the State Security Forces and the Government Delegation.

In a clash that will pit two of the EuroLeague’s best offensive teams against each other, point guard Chris Jones will return to Valencia for the first time after his three-season spell with the taronja team.

Although there is no previous EuroLeague matchup between these two teams, last season’s tough semifinal series in the BKT EuroCup remains fresh in memory — when the Israeli team secured a spot in the final after winning the third game at La Fonteta.

With Xabi López-Arostegui back in training and possibly included in his first official squad of the season, only Jean Montero and Yankuba Sima are confirmed absences due to injury. Valencia Basket begins this fourth round in sixth place in the EuroLeague standings with a 2-1 record.
