Carrera, Fam, Buenavida, and Araujo win silver at EuroBasket Women
The Spanish team came close to winning gold at EuroBasket Women after a tight finish against Belgium. Valencia Basket players Raquel Carrera, María Araujo, Elena Buenavida, and Awa Fam took home a well-deserved silver medal, despite being just seconds away from the coveted gold (65-67). Carrera was selected for the competition's ideal five with her numbers of 13.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 16.4 PIR per game. Araujo, Buenavida, and Fam thus debut their national medal collection, and Carrera adds her second medal, after the silver obtained in EuroBasket Women 2023.
