Diego Álvarez strengthens the Scouting and Data Analysis Department 

The Scouting and Data Analysis Department of Valencia Basket continues to grow, with the Club strengthening its commitment and expanding the team that until now had been led by Luis Arbalejo, with Milan Bertelli as assistant to the sporting director and scout, and Rafa Jiménez as head of advanced statistics. Diego Álvarez now joins the staff as an assistant and scout, focusing, among other responsibilities, on American college basketball.

Diego Álvarez (Oviedo, 14/03/1982) joins Valencia Basket after a long career linked to basketball. Diego has more than 25 years of experience following the game, having specialized since 2016 in the aforementioned college league, a field he will now be able to further develop as Valencia Basket’s NCAA specialist scout—a competition that is attracting increasing attention today.

The commitment to creating and strengthening this department is yet another example of the Club’s digitalization and modernization process, as it seeks to continually update and improve its working tools across all areas.
