Valencia Basket commits to continuity in the women's team staff
Valencia Basket continues to consolidate its women's project in the elite of basketball. The team's seventh season in the top flight ended with the conquest of its third LF Endesa title in a row, along with its third LF Endesa Super Cup, bringing the number of trophies in the women's trophy cabinet to nine.
For the new challenges of the 2025-26 season at the Roig Arena, the Club continues to focus on the core group of players who have been competing together for several seasons under Rubén Burgos, reinforced by the arrival of top-level players. Similarly, continuity is maintained with a coaching staff that has been an indispensable part of the team's success.
Rubén Burgos will remain at the helm of the team for the ninth consecutive season, extending his lead as the coach with the most seasons and games managed (364) in the club's history. A figure that will continue to rise next season.
Gloria Estopá, who has coached the La Cordá de Paterna team in the LF Challenge for the last four seasons, will be the new addition, joining Roberto Hernández (who has extensive experience on Spanish and European benches, as well as with national teams) and Marta Sorlí (who joined from L'Alqueria del Basket) as assistant coaches. Both will be in their fifth year working side by side with Rubén Burgos after joining the first team in the 2021-22 season.
