Valencia Basket opens the basketball season at the Roig Arena by hosting iLERNA Lleida

Valencia Basket men's team will reunite with its fans at the Roig Arena three months after celebrating the Liga Endesa title, opening a new season of the competition with the demanding visit of iLERNA Lleida (Sunday 27, 6:00 p.m., Roig Arena, DAZN/Movistar+/Orange/VodafoneTV) in a game corresponding to the first round of the ACB.

After the physical toll of the thriller that marked the start of their EuroLeague campaign with a win on the road against Besiktas Istanbul, Xavi Albert’s men will need to recover as much energy as possible to face a rival that plays high‑tempo basketball, high‑scoring games and has averaged more than 96 points during the preseason.

The new signings will have their first chance to play with the support of their new fans in a matchup that will have a very special entertainment to open the season at Roig Arena. 

The precedents favor the taronja side, which has always beaten this opponent at home and holds a positive record when starting the Liga Endesa on its own court (although it has lost two of the last three opening rounds played with home support). 

After recovering the participation of the three bigs absent from the Supercopa Endesa, the only doubt for the taronja team is the condition of Gonzalo Corbalán, who missed Friday’s game in Istanbul due to a minor muscle issue.
