Valencia Basket wrap up a demanding week on the road on the court of Joventut Badalona

Liga Endesa round 19

Miguel Ángel Polo

Valencia Basket men’s team faces its third consecutive away game of the week as it visits the always difficult court of Joventut Badalona (Sunday the 8th, 12:30 p.m., Olímpic Badalona, DAZN) in a Round 19 matchup of the Liga Endesa.

The taronja side will try to build on the momentum of the win achieved on Thursday in overtime on the court of Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv, overcoming the physical toll and aiming for victory on a floor where it has struggled in recent years (losing six of its last eight visits).

However, last season the taronja squad broke a negative streak in Badalona, and in the first-leg game this season  claimed a 102–90 victory. It will be another opportunity to measure forces before, in less than two weeks, these two teams face each other again in the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey, which will be held at the Roig Arena.

It will not be easy against a team that boasts one of the best defenses in the Liga Endesa and that, at home, improves its numbers even further, allowing just 74.8 points per game with a defensive efficiency of 0.99. The Badalona side also features what is considered the best trio in the Liga Endesa: Ante Tomic, Ricky Rubio, and Cameron Hunt.

Valencia Basket come into this game sitting second in the Liga Endesa standings with a 14–4 record.
